Nau mai, haere mai ki
Ngā mihi nui – a warm welcome to you.
Pekapekarau Primary School aims to create and provide an environment with opportunities to develop the talents, passions and interests of our students. Hauora or well being is of critical importance to us, we develop meaningful relationships with our students and their whanau to enhance learning.
We are a BIG little school. That is, we are big on Aroha (love) while at approximately 200 children we are still small enough so that everyone knows and takes care of each other. We pride ourselves on being a whānau orientated school. We love opportunities for our whole school to come together, such as whole school assemblies, whole school singing and sporting events.
We value open and honest communication with our whānau, families and community. In addition to our website, you can learn more about us by following our Facebook page, downloading our school app from the android or apple store and by requesting to be added to your child’s class seesaw app.
If you are considering enrolling your child(ren) at Pekapekarau Primary School and would like to visit our school, please contact the office so we can arrange a guided tour for you. Our kaiako/teachers, kaimahi/support staff and tamariki will welcome you into our space and ensure that our place is somewhere that you will all be a part. We value each and every member of the Pekapekarau whānau so come and meet us all today!
Ngā mihi nui,
Tania Bagley – Tumuaki/Principal
